We recommend:
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Warm layers (even in summer)
- Wind- and waterproof jacket
- Comfortable shoes
- Sunglasses and sunscreen in summer
Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks, which can be enjoyed during a short break on the boat or at a scenic spot during the tour.

Is this suitable for children?
Yes. Many children find the tours exciting and engaging, even in less-than-perfect weather. Tours can be adapted to suit families, with a focus on curiosity, discovery and hands-on experiences.
With extensive experience guiding families and children, the aim is always to create a safe, positive and memorable experience – including opportunities to see fish, wildlife and other natural surprises along the way. Weather conditions and the type of tour are always considered when making recommendations.
During the tour
How long are the tours?
Most tours last between 3 and 6 hours, depending on the experience and conditions. Exact duration is always stated on the tour page.
How many guests are on each tour?
Group sizes are kept small to ensure a personal, safe and flexible experience.
Fishing tours are limited to a maximum of 5 guests, while nature and sightseeing tours accommodate up to 7 guests.
The exact group size is always clearly stated on the specific tour page at the time of booking.
Will we see wildlife?
Lake Vänern is rich in birdlife and nature. While wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, chances are good.
If you have specific interests, such as seeing white-tailed eagles, the tour can be adapted to focus on habitats and areas where sightings are more likely. Whenever possible, routes and timing are adjusted based on guests’ interests, local conditions and current wildlife activity. This is included as part of the guided experience.
