The Fishing Experience
Pike trolling is my specialty on Lake Vänern. With decades of experience trolling these waters — and hundreds of large pike caught over the years — I guide guests using proven techniques adapted to season, structure and fish behaviour.

With its deep waters, rocky reefs and vast archipelago, Lake Vänern offers some of the most dynamic pike fishing in Sweden. Throughout the year, routes and depths are continuously adjusted as the fish move with changing seasons and conditions.

This guided trip combines steady action, hands-on learning and the dramatic scenery of the Lurö archipelago. Whether you are new to trolling or an experienced angler, you will have the chance to feel powerful strikes, fast runs and unforgettable moments on open water.

Between fishing routes, you can relax in the heated cabin, enjoy the surrounding archipelago and learn more about trolling techniques, equipment and pike behaviour from your guide.

Availability by request
To ensure the best possible experience, winter salmon trolling trips are scheduled on selected days only and can be booked by request via email. This allows careful planning based on weather, ice conditions, equipment and fish movements.

The Fishing Experience
During the colder months, the lake transforms — fewer boats, clearer water, and salmon gathering in feeding areas. This makes winter the most rewarding season for targeting Lake Vänern’s legendary landlocked salmon.

On this guided trip, we use modern trolling techniques to locate and follow the movements of winter salmon. Each strike brings a moment of pure excitement, and the combination of crisp winter air, a quiet lake, and the chance to land a true Vänern salmon makes this an unforgettable experience.

Between fishing routes, you can warm up in the cabin, enjoy the winter scenery of the Lurö archipelago, and learn more about salmon behaviour and winter tactics from your guide.
